Luis Regalado, Waterloo, and Charlee Austin, Hudson, have received the 2026 Cedar Valley Soccer Club Phil Watson Youth Referee Of The Year award. The award was presented by Cedar Valley Soccer Officials Association Youth Director Tyler Strickler at the June CVSOA Monthly Meeting.

The award committee had this to say about our honorees:

• "Luis is always willing to take on new assignments with ever increasing level of play. He even took on high school AR assignments while he himself was still in high school. He didn’t just wait for assignments; he sought out assignments willing to take center and AR positions. His skill at handling a difficult game is higher than most referees his age."

• "Charlee willing took assignments both center and AR. She always has a “can do” and positive attitude. She takes assignments in her community as well as in other communities as needed. She has a great understanding of the game and has excellent foul recognition."
